Production Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

LOCATION: Studio TK Clayton, NC

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

CLOSING DATE: Until Filled

 

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Supervise daily activities of the production area, including quality assurance, inventory control and customer service.
  • Oversee production team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
  • Meet regularly with Plant Manager to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
  • Organizing training and educational manuals for the production team
  • Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within a facility
  • Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals.
  • Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency.
  • Maintaining communication between employees and senior executives to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.
  • Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of work.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of production activities and employee’s performance.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
  • Maintain items record, document necessary information, and utilize reports to Plant Manager.
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven work experience as a Production Supervisor.
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
  • Knowledge of production software packages and MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to create and adhere to production processes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years of ERP experience (preferably Baan) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office products, specifically Sheets or Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good leadership skills, team-building attitude, and is self-motivated.
